Hollywood, if you keep up this behavior you are going to get smacked on the nose with the rolled up newspaper.
According to headlines today, Tron 2 is not only in pre production (that stage that happens right before “production) but has already cast it’s lead, Garrett Hedlund.
Um Disney, why?
It’s not that I dislike Hedlund, not that I can recall any of the rolls he’s ever played before, but rather why make this film now. Those of us who remember the original TRON either loved it as a break through visual effects master piece or hated it for the same reasons. But with your marketing team the only people you’re going to pitch this movie too are ‘tweens and their unsuspecting parents.
I don’t get it. Why put us through this pain? Couldn’t you at least give the rights to one of your subsidiary groups or sell it to Lucas for the rights to use Jar-Jar Binks in the Magic Kingdom as an erotic dancer?
Just my 3 and a half cents.
