Lets Go Mets...or at least Lets Try to Catch The Ball

If the traffic or the fact that we were driving right past the Jets game in Baltimore about kickoff time yesterday wasn't bad enough, we were treated to 3 and a half hours of piss-poor Mets baseball as they handed another game to the Phillies on Sunday.

Here's the Box Score from the game:

How does a team that's leading the NL East make 6...yes 6 errors in a game and in the SAME GAME also walk 11 batters and hit one. Wouldn't it have been easier if they just let the fans in the gate, handed them their "bucket-cap" giveaway items, forfeit the game, and then usher the fans out? Then at least the fans could go to the beach with their dogs or something?

Linda Olsen of the NY Daily News put it best when in her column today she writes..."It's possible the Mets could have performed worse yesterday in their 10-6 loss to the Phillies, but only if they all wore Mr. Met heads and tied their shoelaces together."

I think that pretty well sums it up. They stunk so bad that I'm boycotting tonight's game here in DC just to spite them... SPITE I SAY!

That's the line score, not the box score.
